A First-of-Its-Kind Exhibition by Dubai Artist Teachers Transforms Media One Hotel Into a Living Gallery, Celebrating Educators Who Shape Minds and Create Art.

BWH Hotels announces a Worldhotels™ Crafted example of art blending seamlessly with education this summer in the lobby of the Media One Hotel, a WorldHotels™ Crafted property.  The bold and unmistakably sociable hotel will transform into a gallery of stories, textures, and perspectives as the Dubai Artist Teachers collective unveils its debut exhibition—a striking convergence of artistic passion and educational purpose.

Opening on 25 June and running until 2 July, the show offers a rare glimpse into the creative lives of teachers who are also practicing artists, shaping minds by day and creating bold, emotional work by night. With mediums ranging from painting, photography, and printmaking to ceramics, embroidery, and textiles, the exhibition offers a deeply human look at the people behind the profession.

The group is united by one belief: to teach art meaningfully, one must live as an artist. This ethos is brought to life through work that spans cultures, materials, and personal journeys—each piece reflecting not only artistic technique but lived experience.

Featured artists include:

  • Alexandra Bolshakova, whose stitched, fashion-inspired works explore the body and storytelling;
  • Chelsea Cooney, a ceramicist-turned-photographer documenting quiet moments of urban life;
  • Hakan Erkam, whose reclaimed materials and textured paintings speak to resilience and identity;
  • Daniel Simon, capturing memory and emotion through lyrical photography;
  • Gareth Pyper, merging street culture with fine art portraiture;
  • Jessica Lee, a self-taught abstract painter guided by intuition and flow;
  • Lillian Mackey, crafting delicate textile and porcelain works rooted in memory and ritual;
  • Simon Alexander Johnson, blending classical portraiture with community-led printmaking.

This is a statement about art, teaching, and the creative pulse of Dubai’s evolving cultural landscape.
