IDILIQ Hotels & Resorts will open two Wyndham-branded properties in Spain during 2026, both fitted with dedicated coworking space, in a move that gives UK business travellers a self-catering alternative to conventional hotels on Mallorca and the Costa del Sol.
Wyndham Portocolom opens on Mallorca’s east coast in April 2026, followed by Wyndham Grand La Cala Golf Residences on the Costa del Sol in the summer. Both sit within resort complexes but are sold as apartments and townhouses rather than rooms, a format that suits longer stays, small team offsites and the growing number of SMEs blending client work with time away from the office.
What Wyndham Portocolom offers
The Mallorca property is IDILIQ’s first on the island and will bring 110 apartments to a site 150 metres from Cala Marçal beach. Accommodation runs from studios to one and two-bedroom apartments, each with a private balcony, open-plan living area and kitchenette. Facilities include a coworking space, gym, swimming pool, multi-use sports court, games arcade and cinema room, alongside dining and live entertainment.
Rates start at €720 for a seven-night stay for up to six people, which works out at well under £20 per person per night for a full group. For companies sending small teams, that pricing sits some way below a comparable block of hotel rooms in Palma, though transfer costs from the airport need factoring in. A second phase in 2027 adds a volleyball court, Balinese beds, a Kids Club and a Flying Pizza takeaway.
Mallorca has been gaining ground as a business travel destination, helped by strong air links from UK regional airports and a maturing MICE sector. Portocolom is a quieter proposition than Palma, roughly an hour from the capital, with hiking trails, coves, markets and waterfront restaurants nearby. Golf courses between Sorta and Portocolom lie 7km away.
The Costa del Sol option
Wyndham Grand La Cala Golf Residences is the more expensive of the two and the most high-end development IDILIQ has produced. Set in the Andalusian countryside minutes from La Cala de Mijas, it comprises 58 two and three-bedroom townhouses overlooking the La Cala Golf Course, with floor-to-ceiling windows and generous outdoor space.
Three golf courses sit on the doorstep. The residences also include a gym, coworking space and infinity pool, plus a concierge service that will arrange private dining and transfers to local spots. Rates have not yet been confirmed.

Why it matters for UK travellers
Both properties reflect a wider pattern. Wyndham has been building out its European resort footprint, adding 12 resorts across Turkey, Spain’s Costa del Sol, Tenerife, the UK and the Austrian Alps as part of a portfolio now exceeding 300 hotels in the region. The addition of coworking space as standard, rather than an afterthought, suggests operators have accepted that guests will be working during at least part of their stay.
The practical caveat is access. Palma and Málaga are two of Spain’s busiest gateways and both have been flagged as pressure points for UK travellers this summer. Anyone booking a resort stay with meetings attached should build in buffer time either side.
