A Costa del Sol charity suite is giving travellers heading to southern Spain this autumn a simple way to turn a hotel booking into a donation.
IDILIQ Hotels and Resorts has redecorated a Deluxe Suite at Wyndham Grand Costa del Sol in Mijas Costa as its Think Pink Suite, with all proceeds from stays booked during October going to AECC, the Spanish Cancer Association.
The initiative marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which runs from 1 to 31 October 2026. For UK business travellers with meetings in Málaga, Marbella or elsewhere along the coast, it offers a self-catering base within easy reach of the airport, and a reason to think about where the money from an extra night actually goes.
The suite was unveiled earlier this month, when we reported on the Think Pink Suite launch. With October now only days away, the charity element is about to come into force, and the practical case for business travellers deserves a closer look.
What the Costa del Sol charity suite offers
The suite has been reworked in pink from top to bottom, from the bedding, cushions and towels to the glasses and even the crockery. A dedicated guest book invites visitors to leave personal memories and stories, and each stay comes with a pink teddy bear to take home as a keepsake.
Beyond the colour scheme, the suite sits within an all-suite resort that pairs self-catering space with full hotel facilities, including pools, restaurants serving Spanish cuisine and a spa. According to the resort, its suites come with kitchen facilities, Wi-Fi, living and dining areas and a terrace or balcony. That layout suits guests who want to work in their room between meetings rather than balance a laptop on a narrow hotel desk.
The resort lies around 27km from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport, close to the beaches and the town of Fuengirola. Our guide to Mijas on the Costa del Sol covers transfers, where to eat and day trips to Málaga, Marbella and Ronda.
How much is the Think Pink Suite?
The Think Pink Suite is available from £108 a night, with full details and booking on the Wyndham Grand Costa del Sol Think Pink offer page. All proceeds from stays booked in October go to AECC, raising funds for the Spanish Cancer Association’s work in breast cancer research and support.
Timing works in the suite’s favour. The Costa del Sol enjoys an average of 320 days of sunshine a year, so October remains a dependable month for warm weather. Getting there is straightforward too: Málaga is one of Spain’s busiest gateways for UK flights, and Spain’s airports set a passenger record in 2025, with Málaga growing by 7.4 per cent.
What it means for work trips
For companies, the offer fits the familiar habit of adding a few personal days to work trips. Where travel policy allows staff to extend a stay at their own expense, booking the Costa del Sol charity suite gives that leisure spend a charitable purpose without adding anything to the business bill.
Those extra nights would normally sit outside business expenses, so travellers are best advised to book them privately rather than through the corporate booking tool, and to keep the business and personal portions of the trip clearly separated for expenses purposes.
Employers running their own Breast Cancer Awareness Month activity may also find the offer a useful talking point for staff who travel to Andalusia regularly. It is a small, practical example of how travel spend that would happen anyway can be pointed at a good cause.
With a single suite on offer and only 31 nights in October, availability is limited. Anyone hoping to pair a Spanish work trip with a stay in the Costa del Sol charity suite should book early.
