Swissport and Airport Lounge Development are set to open a Club Aspire lounge at Gatwick South early next year.

With space for 130 travellers, the pay-to-access lounge will have three sections: a business area with workstations, a quiet lounge overlooking the runway, and a dining area with a bar. A self-serve buffet will offer hot and cold options.

Charging points, complimentary newspapers and magazines and unlimited wifi will also be available.

The entrance will be on the upper level through a walkway between Sunglass Hut and London News Books.

Access is available to Priority Pass, LoungeKey, Lounge Pass and retail customers at various prices, or bookings can be made via executivelounges.com (although at the time of writing the lounge had not yet been added to the booking system).

Access to Club Aspire at Gatwick North starts from £20.99 per person, though pricing at the new lounge has not been confirmed.

Swissport and Airport Lounge Development say more details will be available soon.

Club Aspire lounges opened at Gatwick North in 2018 and Heathrow T3 in 2016, which Swissport says have been successful. The lounge operator also has Aspire lounges across the UK.

Aspire Airport Lounges recently launched a new loyalty scheme Aspire Rewards, which replaces the previous LoungeMiles programme.

The new app-based rewards scheme offers the choice of redeeming points against lounge visits or e-vouchers for stores including John lewis and Marks and Spencer.
