IHG Hotels & Resorts is accelerating its growth in Vietnam with the signing of voco Scenia Bay Nha Trang – By IHG, a 250-room premium hotel set to open in late 2025.

The property, developed in partnership with Nha Trang Bay JSC, will mark the brand’s third hotel in the coastal city and is aimed at capturing rising demand in one of Vietnam’s fastest-growing tourist destinations.

Rising 28 storeys with panoramic views over the East Sea, voco Scenia Bay Nha Trang will be located just steps from the shoreline and within a major real estate development by Nha Trang Bay JSC, a member of the GreenSpark Group. Once open, it will join InterContinental Nha Trang, InterContinental Residences Nha Trang and Six Senses Ninh Van Bay in IHG’s regional portfolio.

IHG’s Director of Development for Southeast Asia & Korea, Dinh Trong Khoa, said: “We’re thrilled to work with Nha Trang Bay JSC to bring voco hotels’ distinct charm and quality to Vietnam’s growing leisure market. This property is another key step in expanding IHG’s presence in second-tier and high-growth cities across the country.”

Nha Trang has experienced a sharp rebound in tourism, with visitor numbers in 2024 reaching 10.8 million – including 4.8 million international arrivals – representing an 80% year-on-year increase. The new voco property will meet demand for thoughtfully designed, upscale accommodation in a city famed for its clear waters, white sand beaches, and fresh seafood.

“The tourism sector is booming and now is the right time to deliver more choice for travellers,” said Tran Duc Long, General Director of Nha Trang Bay JSC. “With IHG’s expertise and a premium beachfront location, we believe voco Scenia Bay Nha Trang – By IHG will become a flagship destination hotel for both international and domestic visitors.”

Facilities at the hotel will include a rooftop swimming pool, multiple restaurants and bars, flexible meeting spaces, and direct access to the city’s best-known attractions, such as Ponagar Temple, Vinh Hai Market and the area’s famous mud spa parks. The hotel will also benefit from its proximity to Cam Ranh International Airport, located less than an hour away.

The property joins a robust IHG pipeline in Vietnam. With 20 hotels open across eight brands and 22 more in development, IHG’s footprint now covers ten destinations across the country. The company aims to continue its expansion across both established and emerging regions, with voco – its fastest-growing premium brand – playing a central role.

Known for combining reliable service with distinct personality, voco hotels offer a more relaxed, unstuffy take on upscale stays. The new Nha Trang opening builds on this brand ethos, offering guests an elevated experience tailored to the coastal charm and cultural heritage of central Vietnam.

With voco Scenia Bay Nha Trang – By IHG now in the pipeline, IHG is poised to further shape Vietnam’s hospitality landscape as international demand accelerates.
