At this year’s ITB Berlin, Qatar Airways made significant announcements regarding its flight frequencies and innovative advancements, showcasing its commitment to enhancing the travel experience.

The airline revealed plans to increase flight frequencies to 17 global destinations for both the summer and winter seasons. Additionally, Qatar Airways introduced its second-generation virtual MetaHuman cabin crew, Sama 2.0, designed to interact with passengers for curated experiences within the airline’s immersive platform, QVerse. Sama 2.0, powered by conversational AI, effortlessly showcased its knowledge of Qatar Airways’ operations, engaging visitors with its advanced capabilities.

Qatar Airways also announced an expansion of its flight frequency to Berlin, increasing from 14 to 18 weekly flights starting winter 2024. Furthermore, the airline revealed its upcoming inaugural flight to Hamburg on 1 July 2024, underscoring its commitment to serving key destinations in Europe.

Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, emphasized the airline’s focus on innovation and enhancing the digital experience. He highlighted the surge in demand for air travel and its role in fostering tourism and trade opportunities globally.

Thierry Antinori, Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, expressed delight in sharing the airline’s announcements with industry partners at ITB Berlin. The expansion of Qatar Airways’ German market to Hamburg demonstrates its commitment to providing passengers with more connectivity options, with Hamburg becoming the fifth city in Germany served by the airline.

With these developments, Qatar Airways now offers a total of 71 weekly flights to five destinations in Germany, including the increased frequency to Berlin. Passengers can enjoy seamless connections through Hamad International Airport, consistently recognised as the Best Airport in the Middle East by Skytrax for nine consecutive years.
