Jamaica’s acclaimed S Hotel Montego Bay is embracing a new generation of travellers as it opens its doors to younger guests for the first time in its history.

Beginning July 1, 2025, the award-winning, all-inclusive boutique resort on Doctor’s Cave Beach will begin welcoming children aged eight and older, expanding its appeal to style-conscious families seeking a luxury Caribbean escape with a strong local flavour.

“This is a new chapter for us,” said Christopher Issa, CEO of S Hotels Jamaica. “We’re thrilled to welcome a new generation of travellers and to help families create lasting memories in a culturally rich, design-conscious setting. This move reflects our commitment to evolving with our guests’ needs – offering a sophisticated yet inclusive experience that blends Jamaican authenticity and warm hospitality for all ages.”

Long known for its adult-centric ambiance, the chic Montego Bay retreat will now offer families the full S Hotel experience, from beachfront relaxation and vibrant local art to interactive cultural programming and acclaimed dining.

A balanced approach to family travel

To maintain the hotel’s serene environment while embracing broader family access, S Hotel is introducing a seasonal child policy:

  • July 1 – December 15: Children aged 8 and above are welcome
  • December 16 – April 30: Only children aged 10 and above will be admitted

The staggered age policy is designed to ensure a tranquil experience for all guests during peak travel times while making the resort more accessible to families, especially during school holidays.

The update marks a significant shift for the resort, which has become a standout on Jamaica’s north coast for its contemporary design, focus on local culture, and elevated guest experience. With this move, S Hotel joins a growing number of high-end resorts that are reimagining family travel beyond traditional norms, offering curated experiences that cater to both parents and children.
