Heathrow and burger favourite Five Guys have announced the launch of a new restaurant at Terminal 5 later this year, marking the fast-casual chain’s debut in a UK and European airport.

The 2,500 sq ft venue will be located on the terminal’s upper level, offering 90 covers and a takeaway service aimed at passengers on the move. Open from first to last flight, the restaurant will serve breakfast and all-day menus tailored to travellers crossing time zones.

Five Guys expects to create between 80 and 100 new jobs with the opening, which introduces several Heathrow-exclusive features including a dedicated Welcome Host, increased ordering kiosks with six language options, and travel-friendly design touches to suit the airport environment.

John Eckbert, CEO of Five Guys UK, said: “We are thrilled to be opening a brand new Five Guys at Heathrow Terminal 5 this year. Now Five Guys is cementing itself at the UK’s busiest travel hub; we are excited to be providing our delicious menu to travellers as part of their journeys.”

Founded in Virginia in 1986 and launched in the UK in 2013, Five Guys has grown into one of Britain’s most popular burger chains. The brand’s fully customisable menu offers over 250,000 burger combinations using fresh, never frozen ingredients.
