Rocco Forte Hotels has introduced a unique in-suite experience across its European portfolio, combining private musical performances with luxury dining in its most prestigious Signature Suites.
The new offering, dubbed The Musical Room Service, allows guests to pair culinary excellence with curated live music from some of the continent’s most celebrated performers and rising stars.
From soulful sopranos in Rome to jazz trios in Brussels and traditional Scottish bagpipes in Edinburgh, the immersive experience is being offered across the brand’s city-based hotels, developed in collaboration with renowned theatres, opera houses, and music academies. Guests are invited to order a private concert alongside their in-room dining, transforming their suite into an intimate concert hall.
Each property offers a bespoke programme. In Brussels, Hotel Amigo hosts jazz sets by Belgian musician Druss Lecomte, while at Hotel de Russie in Rome, guests enjoy operatic serenades with a view over Piazza del Popolo. In Edinburgh, The Balmoral partners with Reel Time for a Scottish piping lesson following a refined dinner service.
“We wanted to take the already personal and luxurious experience of in-suite dining and elevate it into something unforgettable,” a Rocco Forte spokesperson said. “The Musical Room Service is about emotion, artistry, and the magic that happens when world-class cuisine meets live music in a private setting.”
Highlights include:
- Brown’s Hotel, London: Musical director Sandy Burnett curates performances ranging from a solo harpist to an all-female electric string quartet, paired with British cuisine from Charlie’s restaurant.
- Hotel Savoy, Florence: Rising opera tenor Gonzalo Godoy Sepulveda performs arias from the Presidential Suite overlooking the city’s historic skyline.
- Hotel de Rome, Berlin: Artists from the Berlin State Opera’s International Opera Studio perform for guests in suites with direct views of the Staatsoper.
- Villa Igiea, Palermo: Musicians from Teatro Massimo deliver Sicilian serenades in suites overlooking the Bay of Palermo.
- The Charles Hotel, Munich: Partnering with the University of Music & Theatre, live concerts by student ensembles are offered in the Monforte Royal Suite.
- Hotel de la Ville, Rome: Guests enjoy a choice of musical style—from classical strings to jazz saxophone—on a suite terrace with panoramic views of the Eternal City.
Each performance is tailored to suit the guest’s preferences, with the brand promising an eclectic range of musical genres—from opera and jazz to folk and classical. The music is designed to accompany meals prepared by each hotel’s acclaimed chefs, including dishes by Fulvio Pierangelini, creative director of food for the group.
The concept blends Rocco Forte’s hallmark of personalised luxury service with a desire to support the arts and rising musical talent, while offering guests an exclusive cultural experience that goes far beyond a traditional hotel stay.
Whether intended as a romantic surprise, a special celebration, or simply a memorable evening in, the Musical Room Service represents a new chapter in the brand’s vision of luxury hospitality—where the joy of dining meets the power of performance.
