Tucked away in East London’s core, Wilde Aparthotels by Staycity near Liverpool Street presents a distinctive mix of historical allure and modern opulence.

Situated on Middlesex Street, next to the famed Petticoat Lane, Wilde Liverpool Street revitalizes the structure it occupies. The locale is rich in history, celebrated for its bustling markets and a vast cultural mosaic, offering immense convenience for city business and leisurely exploration of London.

The exterior is embellished with stunning green glazed tiles. Inside, the interiors pay homage to contemporary design, enriched with artwork by local artists that lend the space its unique character. The incorporation of warm colours, cosy furniture, and deliberate décor merges work and leisure spaces, culminating in the bar area. Designed by O’Donnell O’Neill Design, it showcases burnt orange, handcrafted terracotta tiles and provides an extensive array of gins, locally crafted beers, biodynamic wines, and food.

Providing an ideal spot for business travellers as well as digital nomads to work or relax after a day of meetings or city exploration. A surprising feature is the small convenience store situated beyond the bar area, which stocks essentials, ranging from fresh produce, micro herbs, wine to even dog treats.

The hotel boasts 106 apartments, featuring a diverse array of room types to accommodate various preferences. Options range from one-bedroom executive apartments to the Wilde Residence, which is a one-bedroom studio complete with a private balcony and terrace, suitable for both brief visits and longer-term accommodations.

We stayed in a studio apartment thoughtfully designed with attention to detail, boasting an extra-large beds that were incredibly comfortable, and pillows that felt like clouds. The bathroom featured a rainfall shower and toiletries from the Hand Made Soap Company, which I’m pleased to report were not single-use. Lighting and blackout shutters were easily adjusted with touch control panels. Although the wardrobe was somewhat small, there was ample additional storage available under the bed.

The room was light bright, and spacious, adorned with ash wood and lively bursts of colour from the artwork, throws, and scatter cushions. The inclusion of coasters and books added a pleasant touch. The kitchenette was an surprising feature, equipped with a Nespresso machine, Smeg kettle, toaster, and microwave, along with fresh milk and water in the refrigerator. An iron and ironing board were conveniently available. Additionally, there was a laundry room in the basement and a fully equipped gym.

A standout feature was the staff’s demeanour; they were friendly, attentive and consistently prepared to assist with any inquiries or requests. The convenience of a 24-hour front desk was particularly appreciated, proving invaluable for late-night arrivals or early morning departures.

Breakfast is usually served in the bar area, but there is also the choice of having a breakfast basket delivered to your room. We opted for this and found a charming jute bag hanging on a hook outside our front door by 7am, filled with orange juice, a piece of fruit, and pastries.

Wilde Liverpool Street offers more than just accommodation; it’s an experience that we were delighted to have had. Despite being newly opened, the establishment is impeccably clean, and I thoroughly inspected every nook and cranny!

Situated merely a five-minute stroll from Liverpool Street Station, this location offers convenient access to London’s extensive network. The Tube and Elizabeth Line are just a short walk away, and the vicinity boasts an abundance of dining, shopping, and entertainment choices.

Wilde Liverpool Street epitomizes the perfect fusion of historical charm, modern luxury, and cutting-edge facilities. Ideal for both business and leisure trips to London, this aparthotel ensures an unforgettable experience. Its excellent location, elegantly crafted interiors, and dedication to embodying the local culture make it an exceptional selection for travellers, and given its price and location, we would highly recommended.
