Alta Badia will showcase the beauty and tranquillity of the Dolomites in autumn this year with “Munts dl altonn – From the valley to the peaks”, a three-week series of outdoor experiences running from 14 September to 5 October 2025.

Designed to highlight the colours, flavours, and slower pace of the season, the programme is split into three themed weeks, each focusing on activities at different altitudes – from gentle valley walks to high-altitude treks. Organisers say the initiative aims to offer “a mindful, respectful and sensory way” to experience the mountains.

The first week takes visitors through forests and lowland trails, with highlights including a South Tyrolean mountain wine tasting (14 September), guided walks among autumn larches (16 September), a zero-waste cooking class (23 September), and outdoor yoga sessions among the foliage (30 September).

Mid-mountain experiences explore alpine pastures and UNESCO-listed nature parks, with activities such as a legends-themed hike in Fanes-Senes-Braies (18 September), a mountain cheese celebration (21 September), a pilgrimage to the Santa Croce church (25 September), mushroom foraging and tasting (28 September), and a geology-themed hike in Puez-Odle (2 October).

The final week focuses on high-altitude adventures. Visitors can join alpine plant walks at Ütia L’Tamá (14 September), tackle the old hunter’s path (20 September), and climb two classic via ferrata routes – Vallon (27 September) and Tridentina (4 October) – timed to witness the Enrosadira, the Dolomites’ distinctive red-gold sunset glow.

Advance booking is required for all events, either online at altabadia.org or via Alta Badia’s information offices. Places are limited.
