Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of Hyatt Regency Zhuhai Gongbei, expanding the Hyatt Regency portfolio in southern China and strengthening connectivity between Zhuhai and neighbouring Macau.
Located in the heart of Gongbei, close to the Macau border crossing, the hotel is designed to reflect both the region’s Lingnan cultural heritage and its role as a gateway between two dynamic cities. The property aims to serve a mix of business and leisure travellers drawn to the Greater Bay Area.
Hyatt Regency Zhuhai Gongbei draws inspiration from Lingnan architectural traditions, incorporating elements such as open courtyards and coastal motifs into a contemporary setting. The hotel’s sky lobby and public spaces feature generous layouts, layered lighting and natural material palettes, creating a composed yet welcoming atmosphere above the bustle of the city.
The design approach seeks to balance cultural references with modern comfort, positioning the hotel as both an urban retreat and a social hub.
The hotel offers 278 guestrooms and suites, each designed with warm textures and practical layouts to meet the needs of today’s travellers. The emphasis is on understated comfort, with thoughtful detailing that supports both work and relaxation.
Dining venues include Xiangyue, a Chinese restaurant serving classic Cantonese cuisine and seafood dishes inspired by the nearby Tangjia Old Town. Market Café provides all-day dining with a blend of Chinese and Western options, while the Lobby Bar overlooks the Gongbei Port area and offers coffee, afternoon tea and curated drinks. Guests staying in premium categories can access the Regency Club lounge, which provides panoramic views across the dual-city skyline.
Leisure facilities are located on the upper floors and include a fitness centre, an indoor heated swimming pool and a yoga studio, offering a tranquil setting above the city streets.
For meetings and events, the hotel features more than 1,600 square metres (17,222 square feet) of flexible space. The pillar-free Grand Ballroom spans 625 square metres and features a seven-metre ceiling, alongside a large pre-function area with city and bay views. A high-resolution LED display, measuring over 10 metres wide, positions the venue among the most technologically advanced event spaces in the Zhuhai market.
With its location near Gongbei Port and its blend of cultural design, business-ready facilities and lifestyle amenities, Hyatt Regency Zhuhai Gongbei aims to become a key hospitality bridge between Zhuhai and Macau.
