Maldivian Resort Announces Headline Acts, Family Activities and Culinary Delights for its Island Inspired Easter Festival

InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort has announced its exclusive line up of experiences and headline acts for its Seachella 2.0 – The Island Festival for Easter 2026.

Following the huge success of the inaugural event in 2025, this year’s festival will take place on Saturday 4 April 2026 and feature festival-style food and drinks stalls including an Oyster Bar and Champagne Trolley, unforgettable DJ acts, Easter-themed tasting menus, sound healing experiences, an Easter egg hunt and more, all within the beautiful setting of Maamunagau Island. Younger guests will be entertained at the resort’s Planet Trekkers kids club, with face-painting, kids movie nights on the beach, treasure bottle hunts and Easter themed art classes.

Come nightfall, everyone will gather to dance to world renowned star, Ashley Roberts, as she takes to the decks as part of the exclusive grand finale, which will feature an elaborate gala dinner under the stars, hand-crafted cocktails and free-flowing champagne. With so much variety and unmissable headliners, Seachella 2.0 – The Island Festival promises to be, yet again, the most exciting Maldives family experience this Easter.

Headline Acts including The Pussy Cat Dolls’ Ashley Roberts

A real highlight of the festival will be headline DJ sets from Ashley Roberts, an American singer, dancer and television personality, best known for being a member of the global pop group ‘The Pussycat Dolls’. Rising to fame in the mid-2000s, she helped deliver chart-topping hits such as “Don’t Cha” and “Buttons”, and will now bring her charisma, style and electric energy to the island festival. Ashley will be taking to the decks in the afternoon for a set perfectly tailored to families, followed by an unforgettable performance during the grand Gala Beach Dinner Party in the evening.

Easter Family Activities

The celebrations are not limited to Easter Saturday, with a specially curated programme of family activities running throughout the whole weekend. For budding marine biologists and curious young minds, InterContinental Maldives’ ‘Planet Trekkers’ programme, for ages 4-12, will showcase the wonders of the Indian Ocean through arts, crafts and mini-expeditions. The programme is packed full of fun activities including treasure hunts, pizza making classes and special Easter themed crafting sessions.

The resort’s popular ‘Teen Programme’ will be in full swing over Easter with culinary classes for budding chefs, boho body art sessions, blue water adventures in the crystal clear lagoon, private movie screenings under the stars, football matches, mocktail masterclasses, and a selection of spa treatments expertly tailored for teens.

Adults who want to make the most of the island paradise can retreat to the tranquil overwater AVI spa for a Shirodhara treatment, before floating into a sound healing session for ultimate relaxation. There are plenty of opportunities for families to explore the island together, with bikes of all sizes available to use, boat trips for island-hopping and dolphin watching, or snorkelling on the house reef. There are various villas and residences, perfectly suited for families, with their own private plunge pool and spacious garden, located just steps from the beach.

Culinary Delights and Egg-cellent Chef’s Table Experiences

Seachella will boast a vibrant Street Food Village, serving up some of the finest oysters, Surf & Turf sliders, and festival fries, followed by a popcorn and candy floss counter, all washed down at the Champagne trolley and Seachella Cocktail Lab. In the lead up to the festival, guests will have the opportunity to experience the brand new ‘Egg-cellent Chef’s Table’ where the resort’s talented chefs reimagine the Easter egg, through four refined courses, each celebrating the ingredient in a different form. The festival will culminate in a grand Easter gala beach dinner, soundtracked by the waves of the Indian Ocean and the DJ beats from headliner Ashley Roberts.

Rates starting from USD 1,445++ per night in an Overwater Pool Villa, including breakfast and dinner for two. For Two-Bedroom Family Villas, rates start from USD 3,655++ per night, including breakfast and dinner.
