A number of Serena properties have enjoyed significant refurbishments and upgrades recently, including: 

Serena Beach Resort & Spa in Mombasa, Kenya

A new 280 kpw Solar PV plant has been installed to reduce carbon emissions and embrace cleaner, greener energy.  Recently completed a significant soft refurbishing of all public areas giving a fresh look whilst preserving the authentic Swahili coastal atmosphere. In all guest rooms, the bedsides now have universal plug sockets with USB ports as well as electronic locks on the doors.  The WIFI has boosted connectivity, and a new IPTV system has been rolled out for enhanced in-room entertainment.  The new padel tennis court is a big hit with both in-house guests and walk ins.

This tented camp has also seen some recent investment to uplift the guest experience including Arabic showers, new thatched Makuti roofs and comfortable new mattresses and lovely new lamp shades in the Morani suites.  All suites, including standard tents, now have hair dryers.   Experience wise, guests will love the new cycling and archery activities on offer – not to mention the jacuzzi at the swimming pool.

Serena Mivumo River Lodge in Tanzania

This lodge, beautifully located overlooking the mighty Rufiji River, has enjoyed a refurbishment of all guest room balconies.  A number of the guest rooms have been rethatched and all suites have new air conditioners.  A new Massage/Spa bathroom and toilet has also been built.

These beautiful, tented suites have enjoyed some TLC recently to ensure a luxurious guest experience under canvas.  Al bedsides now have universal plug sockets with USB charging points for guest convenience. A new driveway and guest drop off point has also been added for smoother access.
