Imperial Hotel, Ltd. has confirmed that its newest property, the Imperial Hotel Kyoto, will open on March 5, 2026, with reservations available from November 17, 2025
The boutique luxury hotel is located in Kyoto’s historic Gion district and incorporates the Yasaka Kaikan, a nationally registered Tangible Cultural Property. The design blends preserved architectural elements with contemporary features, offering guests an immersive experience in one of Japan’s most culturally rich neighbourhoods.
The property will feature 55 guest rooms across five categories – Signature Suite, Suite, Junior Suite, Grand Premier, and Premier – distributed across three distinct areas:
- Main Building – Heritage, preserving original pillars and window frames.
- Main Building, with floor‑to‑ceiling views of Kyoto’s scenery.
- North Wing, offering tatami‑floored retreats in harmony with Gion’s traditional streetscape.
Signature Suites will provide sweeping views of Kyoto’s mountains and Gion’s landmarks, while Junior Suites and Premier Rooms balance historical ambiance with modern comforts.
The Imperial Hotel Kyoto will also join The Leading Hotels of the World portfolio, underscoring its positioning in the global luxury hospitality market.
