New York City has been over taken by North Pole, Alaska for the title of best Christmas getaway for 2024, after 19 U.S. holiday hot spots were analysed against six key variables to find out what Christmas city is the best for brits to visit this year.
This is according to a festive new study by BetMGM Casino.
The following variables were looked at: Snowfall, available accommodation in December, festive events e.g. theatre shows & Christmas markets, venues e.g. ice skating & shopping centres, outdoor parks for snowy strolls, and temperature levels.
According to the study, “North Pole topped the rankings for having the most snowfall (15inches), coldest temps (-7.5*F) and the most cosy accommodation offerings over any other city.”
The study also found that NYC actually ranks in a shocking 6th place, and that Las Vegas is considered the worst Christmas getaway.
