For business travellers seeking a refined yet immersive countryside escape, Osip – the Michelin-starred farm-to-table restaurant in Bruton, Somerset—has unveiled a new offering: on-site accommodation.
Guests can now extend their culinary experience beyond the dining table, settling into one of four elegantly designed bedrooms perched above the restaurant.
Each room is named after Somerset rivers – Avon, Brue, Somer, and Pitt -a nod to the region’s natural beauty. Designed by Johnny Smith, Creative Director of Smith & Willis, the interiors embrace a minimalist English country aesthetic, featuring exposed beams, oak floors, and handmade jute rugs. Locally felled wood forms the bedside tables, while brass fixtures from Studio Ore add a touch of understated luxury. The Avon and Brue rooms boast freestanding bathtubs, while Somer and Pitt offer walk-in showers, ensuring a tranquil retreat after a day of exploration.
Guests are welcomed with freshly baked canelés and cider from Maison Osip, setting the tone for a stay steeped in culinary excellence. Mornings begin with a complimentary breakfast inspired by traditional French inns, featuring black cardamom buns, granola, honey from Osip’s own bees, and locally sourced cheeses.
Of course, the highlight remains the restaurant itself. Securing an overnight stay guarantees priority dinner reservations, allowing guests to indulge in Osip’s hyper-seasonal tasting menu, crafted with ingredients grown on its nearby Dreamer’s Farm.
Beyond the restaurant, Bruton offers a wealth of attractions, from the Hauser & Wirth gallery to the Grade-II listed Dovecote, making Osip an ideal base for both business and leisure travellers.
With rooms starting at £240 per night, Osip’s new accommodation transforms a Michelin-starred meal into a fully immersive experience—one where fine dining, thoughtful design, and countryside charm converge.
