As Delta looks toward the next century of flight, the airline is unveiling a new uniform collection for its above- and below-wing employees that honours its legacy and embraces its future.
The Distinctly Delta collection is more than a new uniform — it’s a brand statement of pride and purpose, designed with intention to help our people keep climbing.
“There’s no better manifestation of the Delta brand than the Delta people who wear our uniform,” said Ranjan Goswami, S.V.P. of Customer Experience Design. “Launching this collection represents a new era for Delta as we honour the past while designing a premium and timeless collection that leads us into our next 100 years.”
Worn to fly – designed for our people with purpose
“It’s not just a uniform, it’s a symbol of who we are,” said Ekrem Dimbiloglu, Managing Director of Uniform and Onboard Brand Experience. “When our people put this uniform on, each should feel proud to say, ‘I am Delta’.”
Every Distinctly Delta piece has been designed for comfort and performance with real-world conditions at the forefront — from below-wing teams in extreme weather and flight attendants crossing climates in a single shift, to Airport Customer Service team members going from gate to aircraft and back again. From pocket placement to fabric choices, every detail was informed by the Delta people who wear the uniform, with every seam and stitch refined and reimagined to exude premium and perform under pressure.
Safety has been non-negotiable at Delta for over 100 years. Every piece in the Distinctly Delta collection meets industry-leading certification standards, including the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX — a mark of excellence in fabric safety.
Classic colours and reimagined iconic pieces return
This uniform is a seamless extension of the airline’s brand identity, with Delta’s signature colours making their return. Borrowing from the Delta tail and Widget, deep navy and premium shades of burgundy and red are being reintroduced with aviation-inspired names like Navigator Navy, Boarding Burgundy and Runway Red for our Red Coats. A new shade of Powerful Pink arrives with this collection, as we continue a 20-year partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) – Delta people will continue to wear this colour with pride every October.
Distinctly Delta is designed to last — both in durability and style. Iconic pieces from current and past collections were reimagined, not replaced. For example, the airline is bringing back a standout piece — the iconic wrap dress. First introduced in the early 2000s, the wrap dress quickly became an employee and customer favourite and now returns with Distinctly Delta updates.
“Delta crews were iconic walking the concourse in the wrap dress. It was very Delta,” recalled Dimbiloglu. “Our people said ‘bring it back,’ so we did — without hesitation.”
Premium design from curb to cloud
Delta’s transformation into America’s premium airline isn’t just about new lounges, experiences or suites — it’s about people. This uniform collection made for Delta people is a visual representation of Delta’s elevated excellence spanning terminals, tarmacs and time zones.
The Elite Collection — featuring subtle jacquard patterns intertwined with the beloved Delta Widget — distinguishes elite service roles like Red Coats, Sky Club ambassadors and Pursers onboard These roles will now be unified under one collection for the first time in Delta’s history.
As a natural extension of our partnership, Delta is collaborating with Missoni, the renowned Italian fashion house, to design a selection of refined accessories — including scarves, ties, and pocket squares — that complement the onboard experience. These pieces reflect Missoni’s signature craftsmanship and Delta’s timeless style.
Century of flight, a future of style
Designed with intention and engineered for performance, the Distinctly Delta collection is the result of a deeply collaborative process that puts employees at the heart of every stitch. This collection marks a milestone in Delta’s centennial year, while transcending into the next 100.
“We’re not just dressing for today,” Dimbiloglu said. “We’re dressing for the Delta we are becoming.”
Delta will enter the wear-testing phase of the Distinctly Delta uniform collection by summer 2026, with all employees sporting the new collection in 2027.
