Alyeska Resort in Alaska has announced a raft of new experiences and events for the 2025/26 ski season, enhancing its reputation as one of North America’s most distinctive mountain destinations.
The resort, set in the heart of the Chugach Mountains, offers 1,610 skiable acres, 76 trails, and North America’s longest double black diamond run. Guests also enjoy panoramic views from its 40-passenger scenic tram and can dine at Seven Glaciers, the AAA Four Diamond Award-winning restaurant overlooking seven hanging glaciers.
New for the 2025/26 season
Among the highlights for this season is Alyeska’s new policy that children aged six and under ski free, making it easier for families to enjoy the slopes together. First-time visitors can also join daily complimentary Mountain Host Tours from December 19, offering guided introductions to the mountain’s varied terrain.
The resort’s event calendar is set to be one of its busiest yet. Highlights include:
- ULLR Fest (December 6, 2025), celebrating the Norse god of snow with bonfires, beer, live music and the famous ski-burning ritual.
- Merry Alyeska: Nordic Noël Market (December 14, 2025), with artisanal stalls, mulled wine, roasted chestnuts and festive crafts.
- The Santa Suite (December 10–January 5), a holiday-themed room complete with festive décor, twinkling lights and a Christmas tree, starting at $899 per night.
- Oakley Scavenger Hunt (January 5–9, 2026), returning with daily Instagram clues and prizes hidden across the mountain.
- Lifts for Love (February 12, 2026), back by popular demand with chairlift speed dating, bonfires and an afterparty.
- Demo Days (dates TBA, February 2026), offering the chance to test the latest ski and snowboard gear alongside live music and pop-up bars.
New dining and après-ski
The resort has also debuted the GREATLAND Bar & Lounge, perched on the second floor of the main lobby with sweeping mountain views. Centred around a stone fireplace, the new venue offers a lively yet cozy atmosphere for cocktails, connection and community.
Guests can also unwind at Alaska’s first Nordic Spa, a 50,000 sq. ft hydrotherapy facility with hot and cold pools, saunas, aromatherapy steam rooms and an exfoliation cabin using Alaskan sea salt.
Black Diamond Club luxury
Now in its second season, the Black Diamond Club offers the resort’s most exclusive accommodations, from 325 sq. ft club rooms to a 1,971 sq. ft glacier presidential suite. Guests enjoy private keycard access, panoramic views of glaciers and peaks, a dedicated concierge, VIP ski valet, and a private lounge serving breakfast and après cocktails. Rates start at $699 per night, with the presidential suite from $3,999.
Ikon Pass access
Alyeska remains the only Alaskan destination on the Ikon Pass, giving pass holders up to seven days of skiing with no blackout dates.
Owned by Canadian hospitality group Pomeroy Lodging, Alyeska continues to combine luxury amenities with world-class access to Alaska’s wilderness, making it one of the standout ski resorts in North America.
