Aman has confirmed the reopening of its latest European sanctuary, Aman Rosa Alpina, in the heart of Italy’s UNESCO-listed Dolomites.

Launching on 24 July 2025, the property marks a significant transformation of the historic Rosa Alpina Hotel & Spa in San Cassiano, now fully integrated into Aman’s ultra-luxury portfolio.

The extensive refurbishment was led by Jean-Michel Gathy, the internationally acclaimed architect and long-standing Aman collaborator. His design fuses crafted minimalism with alpine soul, preserving the legacy of the Pizzinini family, who have owned the property for over 70 years, while introducing Aman’s signature aesthetic of serenity, privacy, and intuitive service.

A new chapter in alpine hospitality

The transformation includes:

  • Complete redesign of all rooms and suites, including two new 150m² Aman Suites
  • Reconfigured Chalet Zeno, now offering two expanded suites for up to four guests
  • A double-height arrival space anchored by a bespoke bar inspired by the original piano bar
  • Interiors featuring local timber, Dolomite stone, and black metal accents, reflecting the surrounding landscape

Elevated amenities and wellness

Aman Rosa Alpina now offers:

  • A newly built Aman Spa with three swimming pools (two indoor, one outdoor), a Jacuzzi, and treatments inspired by the Dolomites’ natural healing properties
  • Three private cinemas, dedicated games rooms, and a high-spec Ski Lounge with heated boot racks and curated rentals
  • Five dining venues, including an Italian grill, a Japanese restaurant (opening winter 2025), a breakfast room with live cooking stations, and a cigar lounge with aged spirits
  • A private wine library for expert-led tastings

A gateway to year-round adventure

While not ski-in/ski-out, the resort offers shuttle service to the San Cassiano cable car station, granting access to over 1,200 km of ski terrain. In summer, guests can explore hiking trails, bike routes, and guided excursions to the Pizzinini family’s private mountain cabins.

Vlad Doronin, Chairman and CEO of Aman Group, commented: “The reimagining of Rosa Alpina as Aman Rosa Alpina marks a meaningful chapter for our brand… to preserve and elevate the spirit of this unique place for future generations of Aman guests”.

With rates starting from approximately €1,218 per night, Aman Rosa Alpina is now accepting reservations for both summer and winter seasons.
