The whitewashed towns, olive groves and glittering waters of Puglia are about to gain a distinctly glamorous new neighbour.
Ennismore has announced plans to bring its iconic Delano brand to Italy’s Adriatic coast, with Delano Puglia set to open in 2028 in the historic port city of Monopoli.
Best known for redefining luxury hospitality in Miami, Delano is trading Art Deco swagger for Mediterranean splendour, planting its flag in one of Europe’s fastest-rising luxury destinations. Long favoured by travellers in the know, Puglia has emerged as a quieter, more authentic alternative to some of Italy’s busier resort hotspots.
Set against a backdrop of crystalline waters, rocky coves and sweeping sea views, the new resort will feature 76 guestrooms, including 13 suites, alongside a collection of wellness, leisure and retail experiences designed to immerse guests in the region’s culture and lifestyle.
Food will play a starring role. Plans include an all-day destination restaurant from Paris Society, two pool bars, a lobby lounge and a fresh interpretation of Miami’s legendary Rose Bar, ensuring guests can seamlessly transition from lazy afternoons to lively evenings.
Wellness receives the Delano treatment too. Through its The Source by Delano concept, the resort promises a blend of relaxation and social connection, with movement spaces, pools and curated programming designed to make self-care feel more like a celebration than a chore.
Design-wise, expect Delano’s signature effortless elegance. Light-filled interiors, fluid indoor-outdoor spaces and a natural Mediterranean palette will create a setting intended to feel both contemporary and timeless.
For Delano, the signing marks another step in an ambitious global expansion that has recently seen the brand add destinations including Miami, Paris, Dubai, New York, London and Marrakech to its portfolio. Now, the brand is betting that the next chapter of luxury hospitality can be found where the Adriatic sparkles, the focaccia is still warm and the pace of life remains reassuringly slow.
