British Airways is ramping up its Middle East operations with a significant boost to services connecting Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi with London Heathrow, in a move that will add thousands of extra seats and strengthen onward global connections.

Starting 27 October 2025, British Airways will more than double its Bahrain service, launching a daily flight to London and adding more than 9,000 additional seats annually. The expansion is aimed at giving travellers greater flexibility for business trips, family visits and leisure travel.

In Saudi Arabia, services from Riyadh will rise to 12 flights per week this winter, increasing further to 14 from summer 2026. The Jeddah route will also expand, moving from four to five weekly flights in summer 2026.

Meanwhile, British Airways will relaunch a daily Abu Dhabi–London service from winter 2025, providing customers with more choice and convenience across the UAE.

The airline said the timetable has been designed to ensure smooth onward connections to more than 200 destinations worldwide via Heathrow, reinforcing its position as a key transit hub for Middle Eastern passengers.

The move comes amid rising demand for air travel between the Gulf region and the UK, particularly from business travellers, expatriates, and inbound tourists.
