British Airways has increased nonstop flights from London Heathrow (LHR) to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) with a twice daily service, six days a week, starting on March 31, 2025.
The route will be serviced by British Airway’s fleet of Boeing 787-10 aircraft that features a dual-aisle configuration and is the aircraft manufacturer’s most fuel-efficient aircraft to date.
British Airways was the first airline to introduce Central Texas to nonstop flights to Europe with the launch of AUS’s first transatlantic flight in 2014.
“When British Airways launched this route ten years ago, it put Austin on the map for international travel,” said Mayor Kirk Watson. “Establishing transatlantic service marked a pivotal moment in Austin’s growth as a global destination and connected our city to the world. With this expansion to twice-daily service, we’ll see even more opportunities for our community both in business and tourism. This change strengthens Austin’s global presence and plays a key role in continuing to drive our economy forward.”
Neil Chernoff, British Airways’ Chief Planning and Strategy Officer, said: “After ten years of flights between Austin and London, we’re thrilled to be making it even easier for y’all to hop across the pond. Whether it’s for business or pleasure – we look forward to welcoming even more Austinites on board our flights next Summer!”
