Corinthia Hotels has announced plans for a new world-class luxury resort on Lake Como, marking a further expansion of the brand’s Italian footprint. The development will be delivered in partnership with RoundShield and Kervis SGR, with an opening targeted for late 2028.

The 58-key Corinthia Lake Como will be located in Menaggio, adjacent to Italy’s second-oldest golf course, creating a rare integrated resort that brings together alpine landscapes, lakeside living and historic sporting heritage. Set in the foothills of the Pre-Alps, the resort has been designed to sit harmoniously within its natural surroundings while delivering Corinthia’s signature approach to refined luxury.

Plans for the property include restored historic architecture alongside newly built elements shaped into the contours of the landscape. Guestrooms and suites will be positioned to maximise views across the lake and surrounding mountains, echoing the understated elegance of Menaggio and the character of Lake Como’s villages.

The resort will feature a full-service Corinthia spa and wellness centre, refined dining venues, expansive outdoor spaces and a private lakefront club offering direct access to the water. Three branded residences will form part of the development, while the lobby, lounge and golf club facilities will be housed across three villas carefully positioned to frame panoramic views.

Simon Casson, chief executive officer of Corinthia Hotels, said the project represents a significant milestone for the brand. “We are honoured to expand our portfolio in Italy and to partner with RoundShield and Kervis on this landmark development,” he said. “Lake Como is one of the world’s most admired destinations, and this resort will celebrate its heritage while reflecting Corinthia’s commitment to timeless, thoughtful luxury.”

The property is owned by the Putter Fund and developed by Kervis SGR, which manages more than €1.5 billion in assets. RoundShield, the fund’s investor, continues to strengthen its focus on luxury hospitality-led real estate across key European destinations.

For Corinthia, a family-founded brand guided by long-term vision, the Lake Como project reinforces its philosophy of creating hotels with a strong sense of place — destinations that honour their setting while delivering a contemporary, high-end experience for both leisure and business travellers.
