DoubleTree by Hilton London West End – the 4-star hotel in the heart of the London heritage district of Bloomsbury – has unveiled the final stage of a £4 million refurbishment project.

The project features the addition of 14 contemporary rooms, including two new Duplex Suites, along with a fully redesigned lobby and ground floor restaurant.

The new guest rooms mark the completion of a project that began with the redesign of the lobby in early 2025. This significant investment strengthens the hotel’s appeal for families and leisure travellers looking for spacious, tranquil accommodation in the heart of London’s West End.

The expansion introduces a number of premium options  Two split level Double Double Duplex Suites feature a pair of plush queen-sized beds on one level and a living area with additional sofa bed on another. Five new Deluxe Double Double rooms, also with two queen-sized beds, are ideal for family stays for up to four. There are also seven new King Deluxe Suites which offer a spacious stay for two with luxurious king-sized beds.

The interiors blend a warm, chic aesthetic with natural materials and bold furnishings for a soothing stay. This new wing brings the hotel’s capacity to 275 rooms.

The reimagined lobby features a sleek and contemporary design that is in keeping with the classical architecture of the historical building. An elegant check-in desk overlooks the capacious entrance which features a stylish central banquette for waiting guests.

The lobby flows into The Writing Room Bar & Lounge where guests will find a warm, creative ambience inspired by iconic Bloomsbury writers like Virginia Woolf and E.M. Forster.
