easyHotel Paddington reveals its £1m eco refurbishment, featuring 47 upgraded rooms, carbon-reducing systems and a redesigned reception tailored for business travellers.
easyHotel has announced the completion of a £1 million refurbishment of its Paddington property, reinforcing its commitment to affordable, low-carbon stays in central London. The 47 refreshed rooms, reimagined reception, and environmentally conscious features position the hotel as a smart choice for business travellers seeking sustainability without compromising comfort.
Located just a four-minute walk from Paddington Station, the revamped site at 10 Norfolk Place now offers enhanced soundproofing, upgraded air conditioning, and LED lighting throughout—reducing power consumption by up to 77.1%. Guests can enjoy super-fast Wi-Fi and relax on the brand’s 4-star style mattresses, while natural pine furnishings and low-VOC materials align with easyHotel’s mission to minimise environmental impact.
The redesigned reception includes a comfortable workstation, highchairs, and a coffee machine—catering to professionals on the move. According to the brand, carbon reductions from the project equate to planting 460 trees annually, with heating upgrades alone cutting emissions by over 70%.
Karim Malak, CEO of easyHotel, stated: “The Paddington refurbishment is a great example of our ongoing work in city-centre stays. We’ve upgraded comfort, cut carbon, and kept costs low for guests – a combination that’s at the heart of our brand.”
General Manager Heshem Shuman added: “The hotel’s fresh look and prime location just a short walk from key rail links makes it ideal for exploring the capital.”
This project follows the £2 million revamp of easyHotel Victoria and supports the Group’s wider £6.4 million investment across its estate, aiming to reduce total CO₂ output by 25%.
