EasyJet has announced three new routes from the UK as part of its summer 2026 flying programme, expanding services from both Newcastle and Manchester.

EasyJet has announced three new routes from the UK as part of its summer 2026 flying programme, expanding services from both Newcastle and Manchester.

The airline will introduce two new destinations from Newcastle Airport, launching flights to Rome Fiumicino Airport on 30 March 2026, followed by a new service to Lisbon on 22 June. Both routes will operate twice weekly, with departures on Mondays and Fridays.

The expansion comes as easyJet prepares to open a new base at Newcastle Airport in March 2026, which will become the carrier’s 11th base in the UK. The move is expected to significantly increase capacity and connectivity from the North East.

In addition, easyJet has confirmed a new route from Manchester Airport to Bari in southern Italy. The twice-weekly service will begin on 3 July 2026, also operating on Mondays and Fridays.

Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK country manager, said the new routes form part of the airline’s largest-ever summer operation. “We are set to operate our biggest flying programme to date this summer, offering more than 50 million seats to and from the UK,” he said. “We remain as committed as ever to making travel easy, while continuing to expand choice for our customers.”

The additional services underline easyJet’s ongoing investment in regional UK airports, as the airline looks to meet strong demand for European city breaks and leisure travel during the peak summer season.
