Travel management powerhouse FCM has unveiled a new global platform designed to overhaul how companies plan and manage meetings, in a direct challenge to legacy corporate travel models.

The strategic meetings management (SMM) solution aims to give organisations greater visibility, control and compliance across their meetings programmes — from companies just starting out to multinationals looking to scale globally.

Simon Seiler, global general manager of FCM Meetings & Events, said the platform was built on “clarity, consistency, differentiation, focus and scalability,” offering a structured approach to cut costs and boost efficiency.

The programme includes three tailored tiers. Meetings Essentials provides the foundations, such as venue sourcing, standardised reporting dashboards and strategic onboarding sessions. Meetings Enablement offers centralised operations, supplier strategy and deeper stakeholder engagement for organisations with maturing programmes. Meetings Intelligence goes further, delivering benchmarking, optimisation and data-driven insights to enhance decision-making.

“Our solution stands out in the marketplace due to its ability to offer agile, structured meetings management capabilities that challenge legacy models,” Seiler added.

The launch comes amid a boom in corporate meetings and events, now a trillion-dollar global market, with businesses demanding more accountability and cost control after the pandemic. FCM, part of Flight Centre Travel Group, is betting its new technology will allow companies to manage spending more effectively, while also tackling compliance and sustainability challenges.
