Flight Centre Travel Group has announced Scott Alboni as the new Global Chief Marketing Officer for its leading corporate divisions, FCM Travel and Corporate Traveller.

Alboni steps into his new role after a highly successful six-year tenure as Senior Vice President of Marketing for FCM Travel globally. He succeeds Frits de Kok, who will now lead the FCM Meetings & Events business in EMEA following its global expansion.

During his time at FCM, Alboni spearheaded a comprehensive rebrand amid the pandemic, reinforcing the company’s market position and driving significant growth. His accomplishments also include the successful launch of the FCM Platform for customers.

Reflecting on his new role, Alboni said, “We have had some amazing achievements worldwide for the FCM business, especially the rebrand that strengthened our market position and triggered a fantastic growth period. I was privileged to work with some of the best talent in the industry to deliver on that project.”

Alboni outlined his future priorities, focusing on marketing innovation through MarTech, enhancing business insights via customer experience programs, and adopting more data-driven marketing strategies. These efforts aim to support the flagship brands’ growth and maintain their blend of people and technology at the forefront of the industry.

“FCM and Corporate Traveller are on incredible journeys with exciting potential for continued growth. I’m eager to delve deeper into both businesses and help propel them forward. I’m excited to represent and be the voice of marketing for our flagship businesses and to optimise our outputs in all regions,” Alboni added.

Flight Centre Travel Group Global Corporate CEO, Chris Galanty, expressed gratitude to Frits de Kok for his significant contributions to developing the global marketing functions into a world-class operation. He also praised Alboni’s appointment, highlighting the company’s commitment to internal development.
