Dubai’s FIVE Hotels and Resorts has never been one to shy away from spectacle.

Known for its unapologetically bold approach to hospitality think supercars in nightclubs and rooftop pool parties with global DJs – the group has now taken its signature hedonism airborne.

Enter Fly Five, a bespoke Airbus ACJ TwoTwenty private jet designed not for quiet contemplation or corporate strategy, but for full-throttle celebration at 40,000 feet.

Launched in 2023 and personally owned by FIVE Global Holdings’ chairman Kabir Mulchandani, the aircraft is a flying extension of the brand’s flagship properties like FIVE Palm Jumeirah and FIVE Zurich. With a capacity for up to 16 passengers, the jet is available for private charter at a cool $14,000 per hour, offering a party-ready experience that begins the moment guests board.

The cabin is a masterclass in airborne indulgence. Customisable LED lighting sets the mood – whether you want a sultry violet glow or a full disco palette – while two 55-inch screens and high-speed connectivity keep the entertainment flowing. There’s a king-size bed with a spa-style shower, a fully equipped kitchen, and an eight-person dining table for in-flight feasting. Even the safety instructions come with a wink: the “gust belt” for the bed is a cheeky nod to the jet’s more playful intentions.

But Fly Five isn’t just about aesthetics. The aircraft boasts 73 square metres of cabin space, significantly more than most private jets and can fly for up to 12 hours, connecting Dubai to major cities like London, Paris, Seoul, and Johannesburg. Operated by Swiss aviation firm Comlux under a Maltese air operator certificate, it’s as technically sound as it is visually striking.

The concept taps into a growing trend: ultra-luxury travellers seeking immersive, shareable experiences that blur the lines between transport and entertainment. Whether it’s a birthday bash enroute to Ibiza or a pre-wedding celebration bound for the Maldives, Fly Five offers a new kind of airborne hospitality – one that’s as much about the journey as the destination.

Environmental concerns around private aviation remain, but FIVE’s positioning is clear: this is a jet for those who want to make an entrance, and perhaps a few headlines along the way. In a city where luxury is constantly being redefined, Fly Five is a bold new chapter – one that invites guests to party not just in the clouds, but above them
