Travellers heading to Heathrow and Gatwick from 1 January 2026 will face increased charges for using the airports’ forecourt drop‑off zones.
Both airports require drivers to pay the fee online, with no option to pay at the terminal and no free‑of‑charge grace period.
The updated rates apply to all vehicles entering the designated drop‑off areas, regardless of how long they stop.
Heathrow’s increase covers all terminal forecourts, while Gatwick’s applies to both the North and South Terminal drop‑off zones. Automatic penalties remain in place for missed payments.
Travellers using taxis, ride‑hailing services, or private transfers should expect the new charges to be included in fares from 1 January 2026.
