Hilton Ramps Up Irish Growth with DoubleTree by Hilton Ashbourne Signing

Hilton is accelerating its expansion across Ireland with the signing of DoubleTree by Hilton Ashbourne, marking the brand’s debut in the Republic of Ireland and strengthening Hilton’s presence around Dublin. The move forms part of a wider growth strategy that includes recent openings, new signings and multiple brand introductions across the country .

The new DoubleTree will be created through the conversion of a 156‑room hotel in Ashbourne, located just 25 minutes from Dublin Airport, positioning it well for both business and leisure demand in Greater Dublin. The property will undergo a full refurbishment of guest rooms, public spaces, restaurants and bars ahead of its expected opening in early 2027 .

The signing follows Hilton’s recent milestone in the capital: the European debut of Home2 Suites by Hilton Dublin City Centre, a 290‑suite extended‑stay hotel designed for flexible, apartment‑style living moments from O’Connell Street. Hilton has also signed its first hotel in Cork under the Tapestry Collection brand, continuing its lifestyle‑portfolio growth across Ireland .

Across these developments, Hilton’s expansion is set to create more than 150 new jobs, bringing its total Irish workforce close to 1,000 team members. The company currently operates eight hotels across six brands in Ireland, with further growth planned in both the Republic and Northern Ireland, including upcoming Tempo and DoubleTree properties .

With DoubleTree by Hilton Ashbourne joining the pipeline, Hilton continues to build momentum in Ireland — strengthening its footprint around Dublin and expanding its offering for business travellers, leisure guests and extended‑stay visitors alike.
