Hotel Football, co-owned by Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs, has reported a pre-tax loss of £601,030 for the year ending 31 December 2023, despite a 22% increase in turnover to £7.8 million.
The hotel, situated next to Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium, saw its accommodation revenues rise to £4.4 million and its food and beverage revenues increase to £2.99 million, according to its latest filing with Companies House. However, the lower number of Manchester United home games, a key driver of occupancy, impacted overall revenues.
The group attributed the loss to a rise in bank interest rates, which increased the company’s debt by £385,000 year-on-year. Despite this, the directors highlighted the hotel’s strong performance post-Covid, achieving the best financial metrics since its opening in 2015. They remain committed to maintaining the quality of the hotel and its brand standards.
