Hotel Indigo, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle collection, has opened Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar, its second property in Indonesia.

Each Hotel Indigo is as unique as its location, drawing vibrant inspiration and energy from the local culture, aiming to immerse guests in authentic experiences and forge genuine connections with its neighbourhoods. With this ethos at its core, Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar brings the essence of the destination to life through its unique sights, sounds, and flavours.

Perched 700 metres above sea level, the hotel offers a tranquil escape amidst the lush greenery and morning mists of Bandung. Inspired by the local Sundanese word “Dagoan” or “to wait”, the hotel reflects the hospitality guests can expect as they explore the Dago Pakar neighbourhood.

The hotel’s design integrates traditional Sundanese motifs and nature elements, such as cascading waterfalls, classic Bandung batiks, and folklore inspired by the nearby Tangkuban Perahu mountain. Its 277 rooms and suites blend local charm with contemporary comfort, and the lobby, encased in floor-to-ceiling windows, showcases the picturesque views of the surrounding vistas.

At Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar, guests can savour a variety of dining experiences that celebrate local flavours and international cuisine, including:

  • Joempa, the hotel’s main restaurant, brings the essence of the Dago Pakar neighbourhood to life with its menu of savoury and spicy dishes from West Java.
  • Dagoan Lounge offers an inviting space for enjoying snacks and drinks, capturing the lively spirit of the local community. The lounge reflects a warm hospitality that invites guests to linger and connect. Dagoan Lounge’s design and concept incorporate neighbourhood-inspired elements like vibrant graffiti, colourful mural art, traditional gerobak stalls, and batik ceramics, blending rustic charm with an art deco flair. With its playful décor and cosy seating, the lounge provides a perfect spot to relax and admire the sweeping views of the surrounding hills, bringing the essence of the neighborhood inside.
  • Karbon, the rooftop restaurant and bar will open later this year. Experience an Asian grill and smokehouse concept, and drinks inspired by local heritage, such as playful twists on Sundanese drinks bandrek and bajigur, and infused with locally sourced coffee, tea and fresh fruits.

Additional amenities include Bandung’s highest rooftop infinity pool which offers stunning views of the Dago Pakar vistas, and Kancil Club where children can play and be engaged with traditional Sundanese games and activities. Nine stylish meeting rooms along with a spacious Grand Ballroom equipped with state-of-the-art technology will also be available later in the year, perfect for events ranging from intimate gatherings to large weddings.

With 154 open hotels across 25 countries, Hotel Indigo currently stands as the second largest brand within IHG’s Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio.
