Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Villas has completed an extensive renovation of its Windflower Spa, marking the latest phase of a wider transformation at the 300-acre resort in the Texas Hill Country.
The refurbishment is designed to elevate the guest wellness experience while remaining true to the property’s upscale ranch-style setting. It complements a broader enhancement programme at the resort, which includes the addition of five standalone luxury villas, fully reimagined guestrooms and suites, and upgraded meeting and dining spaces.
A key addition to the spa is the Talpa Room, a new 1,105-square-foot flexible event space designed for wellness-focused gatherings and private group experiences. Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the spa’s outdoor pool, the room provides a light-filled setting for meetings, retreats and intentional group activities.
The spa’s pool has also been refinished and enhanced with new poolside loungers, while the surrounding outdoor relaxation areas have been refreshed with updated landscaping and upgraded seating. Inside, the spa has been updated with new fixtures, décor and artwork, alongside a modernised salon featuring state-of-the-art manicure and pedicure stations.
Windflower Spa is located steps from the resort’s newly introduced luxury villas. Each 2,336-square-foot ranch-style villa features four bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, generous living and dining spaces, a fully equipped kitchen, and two private patios with firepits, grills and outdoor seating.
Guests staying in the villas receive direct access to the spa’s premium amenities throughout their visit, including an outdoor relaxation area with a koi pond and Adirondack chairs, daybed swings suspended from mature oak trees, as well as access to the whirlpool, eucalyptus steam room and sauna.
Designed as a tribute to the historic Rogers-Wiseman Ranch, Windflower Spa reflects the architectural character of a traditional Texas barn. The structure incorporates reclaimed wood sourced from historic local buildings, including an abandoned Austin drugstore, a former whiskey distillery and the Timber Peanut Mill in Brady, Texas.
While the exterior presents a classic red barn façade, the interior reveals an elegant spa environment that blends regional history with modern comfort and contemporary wellness facilities.
The spa’s treatment menu draws on the natural heritage and botanicals of the Texas Hill Country. Signature experiences include Aunt Mary’s Herbal Remedies, named after a member of the ranch’s founding family, combining aromatherapy, gentle exfoliation and a restorative massage. Other offerings range from CBD-infused facials and massages to indulgent pedicure rituals.
Further wellness enhancements are set to arrive this spring with the debut of a 2.2-acre man-made lagoon powered by Crystal Lagoons. The lagoon will introduce white-sand beaches, private cabanas, water sports and an additional poolside dining venue, alongside wellbeing activities such as paddleboard yoga, mat Pilates and beach yoga sessions.
With the completion of the Windflower Spa renovation, Hyatt Regency Hill Country continues to position itself as a leading wellness and leisure destination in the region, blending heritage-led design with contemporary luxury and immersive relaxation experiences.
