IHG Hotels & Resorts has launched its Vignette Collection brand in Italy with the opening of The Venice Times, a 30‑room boutique property in partnership with Pacini Group S.p.A.
Set in Cannaregio, Venice’s largest and most atmospheric sestiere the hotel positions itself as an “immersive Venetian salon,” where curated artworks and design details serve as part of the guest experience rather than decoration.
The property sits steps from Ca’ d’Oro, the Grand Canal and Venice Santa Lucia station, offering a quiet base within easy reach of the city’s major landmarks . Its Manuzio Lounge complete with a rare inner garden anchors the hotel’s identity, blending signature cocktails and cicchetti with a sense of retreat unusual for such a central location.
As with all Vignette Collection hotels, The Venice Times pairs individuality with local engagement. Its “Means for Good” initiative supports restoration work at Venice’s Naval History Museum through Italy’s Art Bonus programme, reinforcing the brand’s focus on cultural preservation . Guests can also take part in bespoke rituals, including creating movable‑type postcards inspired by Aldo Manuzio and workshops with Venetian artisans such as mask‑makers and photographers.
Pacini Group CEO Emidio Pacini said the rebranding marks a “new chapter” in the company’s partnership with IHG, designed to celebrate Venice’s artistic heritage through an experience where “art, history and local identity become an integral part of every stay”.
The Venice Times joins more than 34 Vignette Collection hotels across 17 countries, expanding IHG’s growing presence in Italy’s luxury and lifestyle segment.
