InterContinental is making it easier for travellers to feel human after long‑haul flights, extending its worldwide partnership with Timeshifter so every guest across its 242 hotels and resorts in nearly 70 countries now receives a complimentary personalised jet‑lag plan.
The announcement reinforces the brand’s push toward “restorative travel,” helping guests arrive sharper, recover faster and make the most of their stay.
The Timeshifter technology uses circadian science to create tailored guidance based on each traveller’s itinerary, sleep habits and chronotype, offering advice on sleep timing, light exposure and caffeine use. It’s the same algorithm trusted by astronauts, Olympic athletes and F1 teams, now placed directly into the hands of hotel guests .
InterContinental says the partnership is part of its Intentional Flexibility programme, designed to help modern luxury travellers move smoothly across time zones and “shape‑shift throughout their day” . Guests can access their personalised plan via QR codes promoted throughout the booking and stay journey, covering both inbound and outbound travel .
The initiative sits alongside new nutritionally rich menus created to counter travel fatigue, including dishes featuring vitamin‑B12‑rich eggs, hydration‑boosting ingredients and magnesium‑dense leafy greens to help balance the body after long flights .
As InterContinental celebrates its 80th anniversary, the brand says the partnership reflects its commitment to intuitive, science‑backed luxury — helping guests feel restored, energised and ready to explore from the moment they arrive .
