Uber Unveils Uber Elite, designed to offer a more elevated, chauffeur driven experience for executives, frequent flyers and travellers who want a higher level of service.
The new tier is powered exclusively by commercially licensed professional chauffeurs and new‑model luxury vehicles, all under three years old. Uber positions Elite as a step above its existing premium options, with a focus on consistency, comfort and personalised service.
A key feature of the launch is a new in‑app Meet & Greet service for airport arrivals. Travellers can request in‑terminal pickup, allowing chauffeurs to meet them at baggage claim for a smoother transition from airside to kerbside.
Onboard, riders can expect complimentary amenities such as bottled water, chargers, mints and sanitising towelettes. The service also supports special requests, enabling travellers to specify preferred drinks or celebratory touches, which Uber will accommodate where possible through its chauffeur partners.
Elite riders gain access to 24/7 premium phone support, with the ability to contact their chauffeur directly before pickup an added layer of reassurance for time‑sensitive business travel.
The service is currently invite‑only in Los Angeles and San Francisco, with New York City next in line and further US and international markets planned. Bookings can be made through Uber Reserve, the standard Uber app, or via Uber for Business delegate booking, making it easier for executive assistants to manage travel on behalf of senior leaders. Trips can be scheduled from one hour to 90 days in advance.
Initial invitations are being extended to frequent Uber Black riders and Uber for Business clients, with a wider rollout to follow. Travellers interested in early access can join a waitlist.
Uber says the aim is to deliver a “magical” experience across its platform, positioning Elite as its most polished offering yet for global business travellers.
