Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have today announced the launch of their ninth airport in Italy, with flights and holidays via Amalfi Coast (Salerno) Airport going on sale for Summer 25.
In addition to this exciting news, customers and independent travel agents now have even more choice when it comes to holidaying in the famous region, as the UK’s largest tour operator has put a range of hotels on sale across the Amalfi Coast, as well as introducing the port city of Salerno which becomes a brand-new resort for Jet2holidays.
The addition of Amalfi Coast (Salerno) Airport, which has recently reopened to commercial flights, means the companies will operate to nine Italian airports across all seasons (eight airports in Summer 25). Today’s announcement makes it even easier for customers to travel to an iconic stretch of Italian coastline, and the move comes on the back of strong demand from UK holidaymakers.
As a result of the announcement, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will operate weekly Monday services to the Amalfi Coast (Salerno) from two UK airports – Birmingham and Manchester Airports from 26th May to 29th September 2025, with both routes being exclusive to the companies.
As well as putting this new airport on sale, Jet2holidays has also gone on sale with a range of new hotels located on the Amalfi Coast, with a selection of new hotels available to book now in the resorts of Amalfi, Positano, Ravello and Vietri sul Mare. In addition, holidaymakers will be able to choose from a choice of hotels in a brand-new resort to Jet2holidays – the city of Salerno. Sitting just on the edge of the world-famous Amalfi Coast and conveniently close to a host of tourist hotspots, this ancient port city features a cathedral, old town, parks and museums.
The Amalfi Coast, located on Italy’s Sorrentine Peninsula, is an unforgettable holiday destination, offering a combination of Neapolitan Riviera scenery and beautiful beaches. As one of Italy’s most scenic and glamourous of coastlines, the 50-kilometre-long stretch is carved out of the cliffs and has 500ft vertical drops producing incredible views. Boasting UNESCO World Heritage site status, today’s launch provides even greater choice and flexibility for holidaymakers looking to reach one of the world’s most iconic destinations.
