Jet2.com has added more capacity to its Manchester Airport programme today, to give fans of Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United more choice when it comes to following their teams in the Champions League and Europa League this season.
Today’s announcement is good news for supporters of all three clubs, with the extra capacity coming in response to strong demand from fans wanting to see their side play in Europe.
The leading leisure airline has added a flight from Manchester Airport to Vienna on Monday 30th September, meaning supporters of Manchester City can access Bratislava ahead of the Sky Blues playing Slovan Bratislava on Tuesday 1st October – with limited flying options elsewhere.
With a flight from Manchester Airport to Barcelona on Monday 9th December giving Liverpool supporters fantastic access to Girona ahead of their clash on the Tuesday, Jet2.com has also put on an extra flight from Barcelona to Manchester Airport on Wednesday 11th December too, perfect for fans looking to get home from the match.
Supporters of Manchester United have more choice too, as Jet2.com has put on an additional flight to Porto on Wednesday 2nd October, ahead of the Porto game the following day. An additional flight has also been added on Friday 4th October, for fans to get back to Manchester Airport from Porto.
Red Devils fans can also get to the FC Viktoria Plen fixture on 12th December, thanks to the addition of a new flight from Manchester Airport to Prague on Wednesday 11th December. There is already a flight back to Manchester on the Friday, the day after the game.
Fans can choose from a flight-only booking with Jet2.com, which comes with 10kg hand luggage included, or a Jet2CityBreaks package which includes hotel, Jet2.com flight, 22kg hold luggage and 10kg free cabin baggage, all for a low £60 per person booking deposit.
A spokesperson for Jet2.com said: “There has been a lot of demand for more flights to and from these big European fixtures, so we have acted quickly to give fans even more choice. We know this announcement will be incredibly popular news with followers of all three sides, and we expect the flights to sell incredibly quickly.”
