Radisson Hotel Group announces its collaboration with Manchester City for the Club’s 401-room hotel, which is set to open in late 2026.
Operating all year round, the hotel will provide convenient and comfortable accommodation for music and sport fans who are attending events at the Etihad Stadium, visitors to the UK’s largest indoor arena, Co-op Live, as well as guests exploring the wider entertainment destination and Manchester itself.
The Medlock will offer guests a choice of suites, deluxe and standard rooms, in addition to a luxury penthouse suite. Upon completion, guests will also have access to a wide variety of food and drink outlets, a roof walk and museum experience and commercial office space in the expanded stadium area.
To capitalize on the high demand for large corporate and MICE facilities in Manchester – one of the UK’s most desirable and fastest growing cities for both tourists and businesses – the hotel will have access to meeting and events space available at the Etihad Stadium and is easily accessible from the city centre.
With a global business and leisure footprint that continues to grow, The Medlock will join Radisson Blu and Radisson Hotel Group’s impressive portfolio of 1,520 hotels in operation and under development in iconic locations around the world.
The upper-upscale hotel will be operated by industry-recognized hotel management company, Valor Hospitality.
Commenting on the collaboration with Radisson Hotel Group, Roel de Vries, Chief Operating Officer at City Football Group, said: “Today’s announcement is an exciting moment as we reveal the name of our hotel as ‘The Medlock’ and welcome globally renowned hotelier, Radisson Hotel Group to the Etihad Campus.

We look forward to working with Radisson as we move towards the opening of the hotel and a year-round sports and entertainment destination that our fans and visitors from both the UK and around the world can enjoy.”
Elie Younes, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Development Officer at Radisson Hotel Group, said: “Our brands are always relevant to both our owners and our guests. We are thrilled to collaborate with Manchester City Football Club and create a global flagship hotel within the world-class Etihad Campus in Manchester.
