MIMARU, Japan’s leading apartment‑hotel brand for families and groups, will open MIMARU Osaka Shinsaibashi CENTRAL on September 1, expanding its nationwide portfolio to 28 properties and 1,500 rooms.
The launch comes as Osaka experiences a surge in international interest, with stays by European guests at MIMARU’s existing Osaka properties rising 10.4 per cent year on year between 2024 and 2025 .
Located just two minutes from Shinsaibashi Station, the new property features 66 rooms, each at least 40 square metres, with a kitchen, dining area and washer‑dryer. Half of the rooms can accommodate up to six guests, making the hotel well‑suited for families, multi‑generational travel and longer stays .
MIMARU’s internal data shows travellers are spending more time in Osaka, with average stays increasing from 2.93 to 3.09 nights and total room nights rising 16.2 per cent across its Osaka portfolio . The wider region is also booming: Osaka Prefecture welcomed 17.6 million international visitors in 2025, a 21 per cent increase year on year, according to the Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau .
The brand emphasises local discovery as a core part of the experience. Staff from 39 countries and regions will be on hand to share neighbourhood tips and day‑trip ideas that are often hard to find online, helping guests make the most of an extra day in the city and the wider Kansai region .
MIMARU says the new Shinsaibashi opening strengthens its mission to help families and friends explore Japan at their own pace, offering spacious, residential‑style stays in one of the country’s most dynamic cities.
