Hilton today announced the signing of Motto by Hilton Qingdao Zhanqiao, in partnership with Qingdao Urban Construction Group, marking the entry of Motto by Hilton into mainland China. The debut of Motto by Hilton Qingdao Zhanqiao strengthens Hilton’s lifestyle brand presence in Asia Pacific, bringing a new stay proposition to the major port city of Qingdao, one of China’s most dynamic regions.
Scheduled to open in June 2026, the 100-room hotel will offer guests a lively, urban-centric stay experience – serving as a launchpad for guests to explore Qingdao and its captivating cityscape. With neighbourhood flavours and locally inspired spaces that encourage connection and exploration, Motto by Hilton Qingdao Zhanqiao will embody Hilton’s commitment to delivering friendly and reliable stays for travellers around the world.

In recent years, the historic district of Qingdao has undergone significant revitalization, transforming into a vibrant hub with trendy and socially engaging spaces that attract younger audiences. Located within this revitalized district, Motto by Hilton Qingdao Zhanqiao will feature activated common spaces, including a lobby designed to be a communal hub designed for guests to unwind, connect, or enjoy quiet moments of relaxation. The hotel’s signature restaurant and a specialty café will offer locally inspired brews crafted in collaboration with Qingdao’s coffee roasters, immersing guests in the authentic urban charm of the city.
The hotel’s prime location is adjacent to Qingdao’s iconic Zhanqiao Pier, surrounded by academic institutions, parks, museums, and the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Marine Cultural Tourism Area.
