London City, Dallas Love and New York LaGuardia have been unveiled as the most efficient airports for business traveller arrivals according to new data from Blacklane, the global chauffeur service.

The inaugural Blacklane Business Travel Efficiency Index conducted a global study of chauffeur-tracked arrivals, pick-up and drop-off data across 27 top airports for business travel in 12 cities and 9 countries, collected between January 2025 and September 2026. Designed to help business travellers and travel managers alike plan productive business trips, the index found:

  • Seat-to-Seat: London City Airport gets travellers from their plane seat to their Blacklane seat fastest, in an average 23.6 minutes, while Tokyo Narita takes the longest at 48.4 minutes.
  • Landing-to-Lobby: From the moment of landing to the final arrival in the city, or the ‘landing-to-lobby’ metric, Singapore Changi is fastest for international arrivals at 67.8 minutes, and according to the Blacklane data, and has even improved by 7.5 minutes from 2025.  Tokyo Narita records the longest average trip at 128.2 minutes. Dallas Fort Worth leads for domestic arrivals, with a 63.7-minute average landing-to-lobby drop-off.
  • City Airport Showdown: For travellers and travel managers choosing which airport to arrive in for New York City,  New York LaGuardia’s landing-to-lobby journey can be up to 42 minutes quicker than John F. Kennedy airport.
  • The Passport Premium: International arrivals add about 24 minutes at London Heathrow and Chicago O’Hare, and about 21 minutes at John F. Kennedy, versus domestic arrivals.

“When it comes to business travel, every minute counts,” said Kasra Moshkani, CEO Americas at Blacklane. “Choosing which airport to fly into, or when to travel may seem like minor decisions. But our Business Travel Efficiency Index shows these choices have a meaningful impact on the journey as a whole and potentially give time back making travel smoother and itineraries more productive.”

Travel timing, especially around days of the week, matters too. Journeys into the city tend to be smoother on Mondays and around midday, while Friday travel and the 9 a.m. rush are slower. At Paris Charles de Gaulle, the drive averaged 53 minutes on a Monday afternoon, compared with 84 minutes on a Tuesday morning.

“Distance alone doesn’t tell business travellers how much time to allow. John F. Kennedy and Charles de Gaulle airports are roughly 20 miles from their city centres, yet the travel from each can take about as long as the nearly 38-mile trip from London Gatwick,” said Moshkani. “Our Index provides deeper insights, like seat-to-seat and landing-to-lobby metrics, helping business travellers leaders curate a  strategy and policy that supports more efficient arrivals. At Blacklane, we pair those insights with a comfortable, seamless journey so guests traveling can truly maximize every moment in between. ”

The study comes as business travel demand is expected to grow. A recent GBTA survey found that 45% of corporate travel buyers expect trip volume to increase this year, up from 30% in April, meaning every minute lost to a poorly planned airport or a badly timed departure time now adds up faster than ever.

None of this is possible without a reliable journey waiting on the other end. That’s where Blacklane’s global network of chauffeur partners comes in, already positioned curbside in more than 500 cities worldwide the moment a flight lands – turning the data into minutes travellers can actually keep.
