Luxury hospitality in Egypt is about to be redefined as SODIC, a prominent real estate developer, partners with the renowned Rockwell Group to design Nobu’s first hotel and restaurant in the country.

Situated in the Eastown District New Cairo (EDNC), this innovative project merges Japanese minimalism with Egyptian cultural grandeur, heralding an exciting chapter in the luxury lifestyle sector.

The eagerly anticipated Nobu restaurant will open its doors in autumn 2025, promising an unparalleled dining experience. Guests can anticipate world-class cuisine within a spectacular 2,200m² two-storey space. Highlights include a monolithic limestone sushi bar, a glowing suspended sculpture, and intricate design elements that seamlessly blend Japanese aesthetics with Egyptian craftsmanship. Features such as a first-floor cigar lounge and exclusive event spaces elevate the experience.

Following this, the Nobu Hotel is set to launch in early 2027, bringing over 50 meticulously designed rooms and suites. With premium amenities such as a state-of-the-art fitness centre, a serene spa, and versatile multipurpose spaces, the hotel will cater to the utmost in comfort and sophistication. The serene pool area and modern facilities further enhance its luxurious appeal.

Rockwell Group, lauded for its global expertise in Nobu locations, has drawn inspiration from Egypt’s vast desert landscapes, iconic pyramids, and intricate artisanal traditions. By integrating natural materials, precious metals, and geometric patterns into the design, Nobu New Cairo creates an immersive, one-of-a-kind destination for both dining and accommodation.

SODIC’s General Manager, Ayman Amer, expressed his enthusiasm: “This collaboration underscores our commitment to growth in the luxury market. We look forward to delivering an unparalleled experience that pushes boundaries in hospitality and dining.”

As the crown jewel of EDNC—a district celebrated for its high-end retail, dining, and entertainment—Nobu’s arrival signals a significant milestone for Egypt’s hospitality scene. Additionally, plans for Nobu Residences in other SODIC developments, including Ras El Hekma and New Zayed, solidify the brand’s intent to shape Egypt’s luxury landscape.

Stay tuned as Nobu’s vision unfolds, blending cultural richness with contemporary luxury in the heart of Cairo.
