Qatar Airways announces largest Boeing widebody and GE Aerospace engine deals in history, ordering 210 aircraft and over 400 engines during President Trump’s Qatar visit.

Qatar Airways and IHG Hotels & Resorts have launched a major new partnership designed to overhaul the corporate travel experience by integrating their loyalty and business travel programmes.

The collaboration links Qatar Airways’ Beyond Business with IHG Business Edge, giving companies and business travellers access to shared rewards, upgraded status, exclusive discounts and seamless earning across both global networks.

Under the partnership, members of each programme can now earn and redeem points across both brands, creating a unified loyalty ecosystem for flights and hotel stays. Corporate travellers who join through IHG Business Edge will receive an instant upgrade to IHG One Rewards Gold Elite after their first qualifying stay, unlocking guaranteed discounts across more than 6,800 IHG hotels and a 40% boost in points earned.

IHG Business Edge members who enrol in Beyond Business also receive a 50,000 Qrewards welcome bonus when they take their first Qatar Airways flight, redeemable for flights, upgrades and other rewards. The airline’s corporate programme also offers priority baggage handling, Privilege Club benefits and the option to offset carbon emissions.

Launched in 2018, IHG Business Edge is used by tens of thousands of companies worldwide, particularly SMEs. By pairing it with Beyond Business, Qatar Airways and IHG say they want to create a more flexible and cost-efficient travel solution for businesses of all sizes.

The partnership arrives as demand grows for travel programmes that combine savings, simplicity and sustainability. Qatar Airways offers carbon offsetting for corporate passengers, while its expanding fleet now features Starlink high-speed Wi-Fi on more than 100 widebody aircraft, allowing business travellers to work throughout their journey. IHG, meanwhile, provides end-to-end hotel benefits, from preferential corporate rates to enhanced loyalty earning.

Both companies say the partnership represents an “all-inclusive, adaptable and economical” solution for modern businesses seeking stronger returns from their travel budgets. With combined global reach, integrated loyalty benefits and a sustainability focus, the pair believe they are setting a new benchmark for corporate travel — one that aims to make flying and hotel stays smoother, more rewarding and more responsible.
