Qatar Executive has announced a landmark move that will see every aircraft in its ultra-long-range fleet fitted with Starlink’s high-speed, low-latency inflight internet by early 2026 — a first for the global private aviation sector.
The Doha-based operator, the private jet arm of the Qatar Airways Group, confirmed that the rollout will cover its entire lineup of Gulfstream and Bombardier aircraft. Installations are already under way, with half of the Gulfstream G650ER fleet and all Bombardier Global 5000 jets now operating with Starlink onboard. The remaining aircraft, including the incoming G700 fleet, will be completed within the next 18 months.
Unlike many operators who outsource modifications of this scale, Qatar Executive is conducting the entire installation programme in-house. This approach, the company said, has allowed it to accelerate delivery and maintain uncompromising standards of quality and consistency across the fleet.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, said the project sets a new benchmark for private jet travel: “We are pleased to consistently go above and beyond the expectations of our clients. By equipping our entire ultra-long-range fleet with Starlink, and completing installations with our own skilled technical teams, we are now setting a new standard for private aviation as well. This initiative aligns with our relentless commitment to excellence, delivering an experience that goes beyond expectations and truly feels like a home in the sky.”
Starlink, developed by SpaceX, provides download speeds comparable to home broadband, enabling passengers to stream, video conference, and work without interruption — something rarely achieved at altitude on private jets.
For Qatar Executive’s clientele, which includes business leaders, government delegations and UHNW travellers, the enhanced connectivity is expected to transform the inflight experience on long-range missions.
The announcement also strengthens the synergy between Qatar Executive and the wider Qatar Airways Group, which is pursuing upgrades in connectivity across multiple divisions. With its full fleet set to become Starlink-equipped, Qatar Executive will stand apart as one of the most technologically advanced private jet operators in the world.
The rollout is scheduled for completion by early 2026.
