Amsterdam Schiphol has opened its largest Privium Lounge to date, unveiling the new Privium ClubLounge South — a spacious, design‑led retreat created exclusively for Privium Plus members.

The lounge opens on 6 August 2026, offering travellers a calmer, more flexible and more productive start to their journey within the Schengen area.

Located near the B, C and future A gates , the new lounge spans over 800 square metres and accommodates up to 125 guests . It is designed by interior architects D/DOCK, who have created a space that blends natural materials, greenery and dedicated zones for both work and relaxation, giving travellers the freedom to choose how they spend their time before departure .

A Lounge Built Around Traveller Needs

The lounge offers quiet workspaces, meeting facilities, a shower, and an extensive selection of food and drinks — all tailored to the needs of modern travellers who want comfort, privacy and efficiency before boarding . Schiphol notes that more travellers want the flexibility to work, prepare for meetings or simply unwind, and ClubLounge South has been designed to support all three modes seamlessly .

Later this year, an exclusive security lane will open, allowing Privium members to move directly from the departure hall into the lounge and onwards to their gate even more quickly and smoothly .

Food and Beverage Designed for the Rhythm of the Day

The lounge introduces a refreshed food and beverage concept, offering barista‑made coffee and quality breakfast options in the morning, followed by freshly baked sandwiches, salads and hot dishes throughout the day. Individually portioned items help reduce food waste while aligning with traveller preferences for convenience and hygiene .

A Milestone in Privium’s 25th Anniversary Year

Franc Vink, Head of Schiphol Premium Services, emphasises that the lounge was created to make travellers’ time at the airport “as comfortable and productive as possible,” marking a meaningful addition to the Privium offering in the programme’s 25th anniversary year .

With this opening, Schiphol now offers four Privium lounges across the airport, expanding premium comfort and personal service at more points throughout the journey. The new lounge supports Schiphol’s ambition to provide travellers with greater choice and higher‑quality services from arrival to departure .

Access Options

Privium Plus members receive full access, while non‑members can also enter by purchasing a Lounge Voucher .
