Leading aparthotel operator Staycity Group continues the European rollout of its lifestyle boutique brand, Wilde, with the opening of properties in Vienna and Lisbon.
The 136-room Wilde, Vienna Fleischmarkt, set in the Austrian capital’s historic centre, offers hotel rooms, self-catering studios as well as one- and two-bed apartments. An inviting ground floor area – Oscar’s – provides a vibrant gathering place for locals, guests and visitors featuring a lobby, bar, shop and café as well as space to work, dine or relax.
Oscar’s recreates the atmosphere of Vienna’s elegant coffee house culture with an all-day menu provided in collaboration with neighbourhood deli owner, Marco Simonis. The menu includes a choice of dishes such as freshly-prepared breakfast baps, salads and seasonal soups alongside Viennese specialities.
The historic property’s impressive interiors, by designer Stephanie Barba Mendoza, showcase the 300-year building’s grand proportions including its Viennese archways and floor-to-ceiling windows. A collection of original artworks and wall murals by emerging local artists adds a cultural aesthetic to the finish, reflecting its grandeur and innovative spirit.
Wilde, Lisbon Liberdade is set on the Rua Castilho just north of the city’s vibrant centre. The 95-room property is a short walk from the Marques de Pombal Metro station and the prestigious Avenida da Liberdade, home to designer shops and trendy cafés. The property offers both hotel rooms, with those on the ninth floor having their own stunning private terraces, and studio apartments sleeping up to four people with well-equipped self-catering kitchens. Guests and visitors can make use of the co-working mezzanine, seating up to 30, as well as the bar, lounge, café-deli, restaurant and courtyard with seating set around a striking water fountain.

The bespoke interior design is strongly influenced by the city’s port-town heritage and rugged coastline and its connection to the Tagus River. Art and crafts from local suppliers feature motifs, shapes and patterns, curated to evoke this maritime legacy. The result is a light, bright and inviting atmosphere by day moving into a sophisticated evening venue by night where locals and guests can meet to enjoy a drink or dine from the all-day menu featuring locally-inspired dishes, snacks or sharing boards.
“The stunning interiors of these two new locations make a real impact, drawing on their surroundings and history and complementing the proportions of both buildings perfectly,” commented Wilde managing director Kelly Morgan.
“Like other Wilde’s, Lisbon and Vienna both focus on offering high levels of guest service, making them the perfect choice for both business and leisure travellers and in particular for the new generation of digital nomads, whether they’re staying for two nights or two months.”
Wilde aparthotels now operate in Berlin, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Lisbon, Manchester and Vienna as well as four London locations – Aldgate, Covent Garden, Liverpool Street and Paddington.
