Rocco Forte Hotels unveils its latest Italian masterpiece opening tomorrow 6th November, The Carlton Milan, a refined new property that reimagines luxury in the heart of the city’s fashion district.

With dual entrances on Via Senato 5 and Via della Spiga 8 – one discreet, the other iconic – the hotel offers a seamless blend of Milanese heritage and contemporary elegance.

As the group’s sixteenth property and second in Milan, The Carlton marks a significant milestone in Rocco Forte’s Italian expansion. It also signals a shift in the city’s hospitality landscape: a move toward intuitive, residential-style luxury that invites guests to slow down, connect, and experience Milan through a more soulful lens.

A Design-Forward Homage to a Milanese Icon

The Carlton pays tribute to the legendary Carlton name with interiors curated by Philip Vergeylen and Paolo Moschino, in collaboration with Lady Olga Polizzi. The result is a warm, tactile aesthetic that feels more like a private townhouse than a traditional hotel. Natural light, layered textures, and bespoke furnishings create a sense of calm and character throughout the 71 rooms and suites, many of which overlook the inner garden or the elegant façades of Via della Spiga.

Each room is designed to feel like a personal retreat, with thoughtful details such as curated libraries, custom lighting, and marble bathrooms. The atmosphere is quietly luxurious—never ostentatious—with a focus on comfort, craftsmanship, and place.

Culinary and Wellness Experiences Rooted in Milanese Rhythm

At the heart of the hotel’s offering is a culinary programme led by Chef Fulvio Pierangelini. The restaurant, cocktail bar, and garden terrace offer a refined yet relaxed setting for guests and locals alike. Expect seasonal menus, Italian classics with a twist, and a wine list that celebrates both regional producers and international favourites.

The Irene Forte Spa brings a nature-led approach to wellness, with rituals inspired by Mediterranean botanicals and a philosophy rooted in longevity. Facilities include treatment rooms, a relaxation lounge, wet areas, a fitness centre, and a dedicated hair and beauty salon—making it a true urban sanctuary.

A Gateway to the New Milan

Beyond its walls, The Carlton offers curated experiences that reflect Milan’s evolution from fashion capital to cultural epicentre. Guests can explore contemporary art galleries, design ateliers, and hidden courtyards, or enjoy private access to exhibitions and performances. The hotel’s concierge team is on hand to tailor each stay to personal interests, whether that’s architecture, gastronomy, or Milan’s vibrant creative scene.

With its opening, The Carlton Milan sets a new benchmark for luxury hospitality in the city—rooted in heritage, elevated by design, and attuned to the rhythms of modern travel.
